Private jet on the tarmac at Capital International Airport (HECP)

Book your private flight to Capital International Bespoke private jet charter CCE

Fly to or from Capital International Airport (CCE/HECP) by private jet with Private Jets Connect, your specialist broker. Comfort, discretion and fast access to Cairo.

Capital International Airport: Your gateway to Cairo's New Administrative Capital

Capital International Airport (CCE) is strategically located for those heading to Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, approximately 45 to 60 km east of historic Cairo. It offers a less congested alternative to Cairo International, with no slot requirements.

The airport features a 3,652-meter runway, accommodating all aircraft types, including heavy jets. Aviary provides a luxurious VIP lounge and on-site customs/immigration.

However, CCE operates only from sunrise to sunset, limiting night operations. For 24/7 access or closer proximity to central Cairo, Cairo International (HECA) might be a better option, provided you secure a slot.

Capital International, the New Administrative Capital's airport

Capital International Airport (CCE), inaugurated in 2019, is the primary airport for Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. It sits on a 16 km² site, designed to serve the new city and ease congestion at Cairo International.

With a current capacity of 1 million passengers per year, it’s a growing hub for commercial and private flights.

CCE is a commercial airport that also welcomes private jets, offering a dedicated experience with handlers on site. It complements Cairo International (HECA) and Sphinx International (HEAX), providing an alternative, especially for those traveling to the new capital.

Before you fly

What changes your trip

A few rules at Capital International change the hour you land, the aircraft you take, and how long it can wait. We deal with each one before you confirm.
Daylight operations only

Capital International Airport operates exclusively during daylight hours, from sunrise to sunset. This means that flights cannot land or take off at night. Your arrival and departure times must be planned within this window.

We will ensure your schedule aligns with the airport’s operating hours before you confirm your trip.

Landing and overflight permits are required

For any private or charter flight to Capital International, a landing permit from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) is mandatory. This permit officially takes four business days to process, though air ambulance flights can be expedited in three hours.

An Egyptian overflight permit is also required, needing at least 48 working hours’ notice. We handle all permit applications for you, ensuring they are secured well in advance of your flight.

Your aircraft can wait for your return

While you are in the city, your aircraft can remain parked at Capital International. The airport has eight designated aircraft parking stands. Jet A-1 fuel is available on-site, allowing your aircraft to refuel and be ready for your return journey.

We coordinate all ground services, including fueling and parking, to ensure a seamless experience.

On arrival

Egyptian Airports Company Terminal with Four Handler Networks

Capital International Airport

Egyptian Airports Company operates the field.

Four handler networks serve private arrivals: Enigma Aviation Services coordinates ramp-side marshalling, chocking, GPU, water, lavatory, baggage and catering; LFS arranges Jet A-1 uplift, ground handling, security screening and clearances through local partners; AviaVIP’s Capital (Aviary) listing reports a luxury VIP lounge with crew room, restrooms, prayer room, and customs and immigration on site; and Flyius coordinates terminal access, crew services, passenger handling and ground transport with approved local handlers.

The VIP lounge offers Wi-Fi. Third-party car rental and short-term vehicle parking are available. The facility maintains 24-hour surveillance.

Ground access

From the aircraft to the city

Capital International Airport sits approximately 45 to 55 km east of central Cairo, in the desert corridor connecting the historic city to the New Administrative Capital. Road access runs via the main motorway linking the two cities.

No official transfer time has been confirmed; actual journey length will depend on your destination within the metropolitan area and traffic on the route.

A chauffeured car arranged through your ground team on arrival provides the most reliable and comfortable option. Car rental is also available directly at the terminal for passengers who prefer to drive.

The table,
made to measure.

Egypt's culinary tradition is one of the most distinctive in the Mediterranean world: rich mezze spreads, slow-cooked tagines, fresh-caught fish from the Red Sea coast, and pastries fragrant with rose water and pistachios. Catering for your departure from Capital International can be arranged in advance through your ground service team, bringing that same local character on board alongside champagne, fine wines, or any other preferences your party has.

An empty leg to Capital International,
if the sky lines up.

An empty leg to or from Capital International is a repositioning flight already on the schedule: the aircraft needs to reach another base or its next mission. These trips are offered at a reduced fare, often around 30% to 75% off a classic charter, in exchange for less flexibility on dates and routing.

On every enquiry, we systematically scan the sky for these opportunities. The goal: whenever possible, a more competitive quote, on price as well as on the aircraft category available.

Security, passport control and customs

One building for formalities

Customs and immigration at Capital International Airport are based within the terminal building itself. For international arrivals and departures, passport control and entry formalities are processed on-site, without a bus transfer or a move to a separate facility.

The airport holds full Airport of Entry status, confirming it is authorised to handle international flights.

What that means for you

  • On landing, your aircraft parks and you walk a short distance to the arrivals area.
  • No shuttle, no second terminal, no standing in a general queue.
  • Your ground team accompanies you through formalities, keeping the process efficient.
  • For departures, the same team coordinates documentation and clearance before you board.

The other Cairo airports

Cairo International Airport (HECA) is Egypt’s principal aviation hub, positioned northeast of the city, and the airport that handles the great majority of regional traffic.

When your schedule requires night operations, or when most of your party is connecting through a commercial terminal, routing through HECA may be the more practical choice.

Sphinx International Airport (HEAX), to the west of Cairo, is a further option for itineraries approaching from that direction.

When it fits

Night arrivals or departures, passengers connecting via commercial flights, or itineraries with strong route frequency from the main hub all favour routing through Cairo International. Sphinx International suits those based on the western side of the metropolitan area or arriving from the northwest.

How it affects the quote

Each airport carries its own handling costs, permit timelines, and transfer logistics. We compare all three options and recommend the most practical arrangement for your specific trip, with no obligation either way.
All three airports serve the greater Cairo area. For a full picture of the destination, its hotels, and its key districts, visit our Cairo destination page.
