Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our services
What types of turbine and engine components can be shipped by cargo aircraft?
Our cargo aircraft transport the full range of engine components: HPT (High Pressure Turbine) blades and vanes, combustion chamber liners, fan blades (including CFRP composite), turbine discs, bearing assemblies, gearbox modules, LPT segments, and complete engine modules (fan, compressor, turbine, accessory gearbox). We handle components from all major OEMs: CFM International, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, and GE Aviation.
How are precision engine components protected during cargo aircraft transport?
Each component travels in its OEM-specified shipping container or custom-built fixture that supports the part at designated contact points. HPT blades with thermal barrier coatings receive individual protective sleeves. Fan blades travel in vertical cradle racks preventing tip and leading-edge damage. All exposed machined surfaces are treated with VCI protection and wrapped in moisture barriers. Climate control at 15-25°C prevents thermal stress on coated components.
How quickly can turbine components be delivered for an engine shop visit or AOG?
For AOG situations, our express service delivers 200 to 800 kg of engine components within 6 to 12 hours. For planned engine shop visits requiring component kitting, standard delivery is 12 to 24 hours. We coordinate with engine MRO facilities to time delivery with the shop’s work schedule, ensuring components arrive exactly when the build-up team is ready for installation.
