Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our services
How are valuable paintings protected during cargo aircraft transport?
Each artwork is secured in a museum-grade climate-controlled crate built to the piece’s exact dimensions. Crates feature vibration-dampening foam, humidity stabilizers maintaining 45-55% RH, and shock indicators. The cargo hold maintains 18-22°C with no UV exposure. Our art handlers are ICEFAT-certified and follow museum-standard handling protocols for every loading and unloading operation.
What insurance coverage is available for artwork shipped by cargo aircraft?
We provide nail-to-nail fine art insurance covering the artwork from the moment it leaves the wall to its installation at the auction house. Coverage is available up to €500 million per shipment through specialized art insurers (AXA Art, Hiscox). Policies cover all risks including transit damage, theft, fire, and environmental exposure. Valuations are based on agreed value rather than market value.
Can you transport oversized artworks or sculptures by cargo aircraft?
Yes, our fleet includes wide-body cargo aircraft with cargo door dimensions exceeding 3 x 3 meters, accommodating large-format paintings, monumental sculptures, and installations. For extremely large pieces, we coordinate structural loading plans with our engineering team to ensure safe weight distribution and securing throughout the flight.
