Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our services
How is LPPM compliance ensured for platinum and palladium transport?
Every bar of platinum or palladium transported meets LPPM (London Platinum and Palladium Market) standards and bears the hallmark of an accredited refinery (Impala, Anglo American Platinum, Sibanye-Stillwater). Our chain of custody records the serial number, weight in troy ounces, purity (99.95% minimum for platinum, 99.95% for palladium), and assay certificate. All documentation is auditable by LBMA/LPPM members in London.
What are the repatriation routes for platinum from South Africa?
Our dedicated cargo flights depart from Johannesburg (OR Tambo) — the logistics hub for Bushveld Complex refineries (Rustenburg, Mogalakwena, Marikana) — to London Heathrow or London Stansted on a direct flight of 11 to 13 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to LBMA vaults in the City is handled by an armored convoy coordinated with our security partner.
Can other platinum group metals (rhodium, iridium, ruthenium) be transported?
Yes, we transport the full range of PGMs (Platinum Group Metals): platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, and osmium. Rhodium, whose price can exceed that of gold, benefits from the same armored aerial vault and tamper-evident seal protocol. Each metal is packaged separately to prevent cross-contamination, in containers certified by LPPM-accredited refineries.
