December-January (end-of-year holidays, northern swell surfing) sees a similar peak: 30 to 45 days’ anticipation is recommended, and long-term parking is often fully booked.

Off-season (February-June, September-October), flexibility returns: lead times drop to 5 to 7 business days, and rates become more favorable.

Each year, for Nyepi (Balinese Day of Silence, Hindu Saka New Year), Ngurah Rai Airport closes its regular operations for approximately 24 hours via official NOTAM. It is the only international airport in the world to cease operations for religious reasons. Any flight around this date must be rescheduled; only emergency medical evacuations remain authorized.

The positioning flight from Singapore or Dubai can represent a significant portion of the quote. Destination weddings and wellness retreats often gather 10 to 14 passengers: a heavy jet is then essential for the cabin space.

Ngurah Rai by Private Jet: What to Expect

Ngurah Rai is located by the sea in Kuta, South Bali. It has one runway, 09/27, 3,000 m long, at 4 m above sea level. The approach to runway 27 runs along the coast and has an ILS, which provides precision guidance in bad weather.

Runway 09 only has a simpler approach, using a radio beacon. Fuel, customs, and immigration are available 24/7. There is one exception per year: Nyepi, the Day of Silence, when the airport closes for approximately 24 hours. It is the only international airport to close for a religious holiday.

The private jet terminal, with about fifteen stands, has been managed by ExecuJet since November 2022.
