Velana International by private jet: what to expect
Velana International Airport (VRMM/MLE) is built on Hulhulé Island, 2.8 km northeast of Malé. The single runway, orientation 18/36, is 3,400 meters long (pavement strength 80/F/B/W/T, asphalt), at 2.3 meters above sea level (AIP AD 2.2): one of the closest airports to sea level.
It accepts all business aircraft, with no category limit. Ground handling, customs, immigration, and Jet A-1 operate 24 hours. Five tanks total 13 million liters of Jet A-1: Velana can serve as a reliable technical stop between the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
