In Doha, the price of a private flight is primarily a matter of distance. Most business connections are trans-regional or intercontinental: Europe (6 hours), the Indian subcontinent (3h30), Southeast Asia (7 hours), or the Americas (14 hours non-stop). These distances require heavy aircraft, whose hourly operating costs are significant. A hop to Riyadh and a non-stop flight to New York do not operate in the same price range.
Next comes the season. Qatar’s high season is opposite to Europe’s, running from October to April, when the heat subsides and forums, conferences, and sporting events abound. This is when demand and prices peak, with parking and slots under pressure. Summer, between June and September, is significantly quieter.
On top of this are high-traffic events. The Doha Forum (December, by invitation, under the patronage of the Emir of Qatar) concentrates a dense flow of leaders and delegations over two days. The Qatar Economic Forum, organized with Bloomberg, generates a similar influx when held in Doha. International sporting events and major tournaments add occasional peaks, difficult to anticipate without advance booking.
Finally, Doha often generates asymmetrical traffic: some weeks, aircraft arrive full for forums and depart empty. Depending on the direction of your journey, this repositioning can either reduce or increase the quote, and we anticipate this with you.
